PSA: Going to University is so hard!
I know when grown-ups just say, “Just wait till you have to go to work every day 5 days a week, Now that is hard.” But they are missing the point. University is hard as it is inconsistent there is little routine and schedule. Some weeks you’ll have it all together on top of everything and eating well, and then next you’re 3 weeks behind, living off canned tuna as you’re a casual worker and can’t afford to buy much food that week. How are we supposed to find a balance when nothing is ever consistent?
Problematisation
This is an important problem to address as there is a reciprocal relationships between health, health behaviour and educational achievement. There is currently limited content available that specifically relates to University students in terms of balancing uni with other obligations such as health. This issue has become a grey area and the aim of my DA is to create a persona that engages the university audience and provides useful information to improve their current health habits as a full-time students.
Weekly Schedule
I have designed a schedule that shows which days will produce what content, the platforms it will be shared on as well as the types of videos that will be produced on a weekly basis.
My persona will be inspired by Micro-celebrity and Influencer Rachel Dillon, who has boosted her career as a fitness influencer on social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok. My ethnographic research will analyse how she has developed her persona, and how this has had a positive influence on her audience.
Ethical Considerations
My research project will also be undertaken in compliance with the ethical considerations found in Ethical Use of Qualitative Data and Findings. I will be able to only conduct ethical research when analysing and collecting data, by ensuring that my findings are kept confidential and only I am able to access it. In the case that users interact with my content their usernames will not be shown, and their comments only viewed as general feedback.

Hey Ella, what an awesome idea. I think that this is so relevant to so many people within the niche that you are targeting, and I truly believe that if you stay on top of your content, this DA could really be the start of something more than just a DA for a uni subject. Hi Ella, I love your idea I think it's great. Because you are a uni student yourself I think you'll be able to really connect with your audience through your persona. Establishing who your audience is will really help with the content you decide to produce. Have you consider your style? I think being really informative, friendly and aesthetic will work well. I also love Rachelle Dillon myself and whilst she is more in the health and fitness genre incorporating this with our busy uni schedules will really help some people, including myself!
