BCM114 PITCH

I am highly passionate about health and wellbeing so for my BCM114 digital artefact I will provide users with realistic health related tips that are easy to adapt in every life.  My target audience is 16-24 year old females, as I have observed through Tik Tok engagement and my own Instagram polls that this age sector has a growing interest in fitness and health. Tik Tok enables me to make concise, engaging and informative videos that can be produced fast and efficiently, whilst also reaching my target audience.  I will provide weekly short videos, including  simple workout plans with exercises that can easily be regressed or advanced. TikTok workouts have gained popularity in the last two years. Hannah Davis from the University Wire says, “​​Let us bring awareness to these TikTok workouts — not for their inefficiency, but for the fact that they work terrifyingly well.” (University Wire, 2020). I will also include meal plans that are affordable and easy to make, perfect for those that attend uni or live out of home. Lockdown brings new challenges of motivation and mental health which also be a topic of the videos. The engagement through my videos will help me generate more user specific content in order to further narrow down my niche. My “Building a Better You” Tik Tok  series aims to provide help for all young women who wish to improve their overall health despite varying abilities, experiences and needs.
